polyGeVero® software: item catalogue number: S-2POLY-1

The polyGeVero® software has been developed for fast and easy calculations of 3D radiotherapy dosimetry data.

All calculations can be performed in four workspaces, which include all the necessary tools for:

  • calculating the calibration curves and calibration equations (Calibration Workspace),
  • storage of the dosimeters’ calibrations (Calibration Database Workspace),
  • calculating 3D dose distributions in irradiated 3D dosimeters (Gel Dosimetry Dose Distribution Workspace),
  • comparison of the 3D dose distributions obtained from 3D dosimeters and calculated with the aid of treatment planning systems (TPS): 3D-3D comparisons (Gel Dosimetry vs. TPS Workspace).

Each of the workspaces comprises specific tools designed for a range of operations that are necessary to processing data.

The software operates on DICOM and VFF (VISTATM Cone Beam Optical Scanner, Modus Medical Devices Inc., Canada) type files. However, its structure is not limited to those and could be easily extended in the future. Raw data obtained from the measurements of 3D dosimeters with the aid of MRI, CT, US or OCT are uploaded to the software and processed afterwards. The outcome of the calculations in polyGeVero® (profiles, signal and dose maps, 1D and 2D graphs and other results) can be exported as TXT, BMP files or as reports and all results can be printed.

An inherent feature of the polyGeVero® software is the possibility of calculating in 3D, the gamma index and gamma angle and difference between two datasets.

The polyGeVero® software enables the display of the dose distribution of a 3D dosimeter in 3D.

The polyGeVero® software calculates with high speed the gamma index, gamma angle and difference in 3D, in addition to brachytherapy calibration, depth dose calibration, histograms, dose distributions in 3D, etc.

It is possible to calculate experimental data, such as calibrations and dose distribution and to perform a comparison of the measured and calculated dose distributions in 3D within a few minutes.

The polyGeVero® software enables preparation of the results, e.g., graphs or 2D/3D dose distribution maps in a format ready for scientific publication.

The GeVero Co. is ready for co-operation with those who develop optical computed tomography techniques for scanning 3D dosimeters in terms of adaptation of the polyGeVero® software for the output file format obtained from any 3D optical scanner.
