How to calculate Depth dose calibration

Depth dose calibration is a preparation method for a calibration equation that employs a few calibration vials (usually three, to cover a dose range for a photon beam; one for an electron beam) filled with a polymer gel dosimeter and irradiated with a high-energy photon or electron beam in order to observe a build-up of absorbed dose and its decrease along a longer axis of a vial.

The GeVero Co. depth dose calibration phantom can be seen during an experiment of irradiation with a medical accelerator at http://polygevero.pl/product/phantoms/Depth-dose-calibration-phantom.

This movie presents how to calculate the calibration using the polyGeVero® software and the GeVero® depth dose calibration phantoms.
